What is New Media Storytelling
The general argument made by Amy in her article, What is new media storytelling , is that through new media, people are able to reach an audience easier. More specifically, Amy says, "those who wanted to communicate with broad audiences through multimedia had to go through the gatekeepers of 'old media.'" By writing this, Amy is suggesting that if platforms like YouTube didn't exist, it would be so much harder for people to communicate with audiences because you would have to do it through "old media." In conclusion, Amy believes that "storytellers gained access to a third option for sharing personal stories that was previously available only to professional filmmakers," and that now is the time to start experimenting with these new tools.
